We have all seen how many countries are famous for different things they offer like tourism, technology, architecture, food etc. Today we will be talking about the countries that have a rich cultural heritage.

The world has its history. If we didn’t have a history we might not have ended up with all the amazing places and cultures. Places we can go and know and relive history and experience how those times were.

Italy:

Everyone in the world knows why Italy carries its fame. The county has given us comfort food, artists and architecture. Italy is filled with vibrant wonders, Italy is one of the special places when it comes to heritages and is also on top of our list due to its rich heritage history. The nation has a long list of Roman ruins that are a mute spectator to the ancient history of the place.

Popular places such as Rome, Sicily, Venice, Milan, and Genoa have all shared their part in making this country rich in cultural heritages. Also, the must-see roman ruins to visit on the trip to the exotic nation are Pantheon and Roman Colosseum along with ancient cities like Pompeii.

The Colosseum, Rome

Both for its history as the capital of much of ancient Europe and for its present-day role as one of Europe’s most vibrant cities, for most tourists travelling to Italy, Rome heads the list of places to visit. Relics of its ancient glories—the Colosseum, the Forum, the Pantheon, the Appian Way, and the Palatine Hill—vie with the vast riches of the Vatican as the top attractions.

Venice

Who could fail to love a city whose streets are made of water, whose buses are boats, and where the songs of gondoliers linger in the air? It is a magic city, and its major attraction to tourists is the city itself. The hub of the city is the broad Piazza San Marco, St. Mark’s Square, surrounded by several of its top tourist attractions.

Cathedral, Milan

Although Milan is a major entry point for tourists because of its airport, it’s often overlooked as a destination of its own. That’s a shame because Milan has one of the highest concentrations of artistic and architectural attractions in all of Italy, and for those interested in design and fashion (not to mention shopping), it’s a must-visit place.

Milan has been the home and workplace for luminaries in all these fields: Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Verdi, Enrico Caruso, Toscanini, and designer Giorgio Armani.

Pisa and Lucca

These two nearby towns are worth visiting while you’re in Tuscany, the first for the exceptional Campo Dei Miracoli complex and the other for its endearing charms.

The Leaning Tower of Pisa, actually the campanile for the adjacent cathedral, is a well-known Italian icon and forms the centrepiece of a UNESCO World Heritage site that also includes the cathedral, baptistery, and Campo Santo.

Pompeii and Herculaneum

In AD 79, Mt. Vesuvius erupted violently and suddenly, engulfing the thriving Roman city of Pompeii and encasing it for more than a millennium in six meters of ash and pumice-stone. The city remained frozen in time until excavations that began in the 18th century uncovered more than half of its buildings and public spaces.

The same eruption also engulfed the city of Herculaneum, but this time in molten lava, not ash. So instead of raining down and crushing buildings with its weight, the lava flowed in and filled the city from the ground up, supporting walls and ceilings as it rose, and preserving them in place.

Greece

Another of the top-listed nations when it comes to heritage sites in Greece. The history, development and culture of Greece have been a flagbearer for the whole world as a whole. There are many ancient ruins scattered across the nation that help people to look into its past clearly. From the Acropolis of Athens and Meteora to the Temple of Apollo Epicurius at Bassae, the impressive architectural monuments make Greece a definite visit in many ways.

Here are a few of the many mesmerizing places to visit in Greece that must be on your itinerary when you’re booking Europe tour packages. Have a look before you plan your amazing vacation. All of these famous places in Greece differ and offer a completely different experience to travellers. Take a look!

Athens – Modern Vibes

Chania Town – Cobbled And Narrow Streets

Santorini – Hues Of Blue And White

Hersonissos – Old Port Town

Rethymnon – Old Venetian Town

Filled with integral beauty and style, these heritage sites amidst the bustling cities charm every visitor. From the El Escorial in Madrid, the Old quarter of Avilla to the old and historical cities of Salamanca and Toledo respectively, the list of jewels in Spain capture every traveller towards them.

With over 20 UNESCO-listed heritage sites, the country not only shines brightly on our list but is also one of the best places to revisit history.

Here is a list of a few places to visit in Spain:

Basilica de la Sagrada

This UNESCO-listed church, Basilica de la Sagrada Familia, is one of the most unconventional churches in the world and one of the best places to visit in Spain.

Casa Milà (La Pedrera)

Barcelona Cathedral

Barcelona Cathedral is also known as the Cathedral of the Holy cross and Saint Eulalia. It serves as the Archbishop of Barcelona, Spain and Catalonia. It was constructed between the thirteen and fifteen centuries, and the principal work of the Cathedral was done during the fourteenth century.

India

The Indian Subcontinent is truly a miraculous wonder in many ways. Dotted with a list of spectacular heritages across the perimeters, these memorandums are a witness to the glorious past. Although there are many architectural prodigies in the country, only a few of them hold international importance.

From Konark in the east to Ellora caves, and similarly from the Taj Mahal in the north to the Chola Temple in the west, the nation remains a top pick for travellers and archaeologists for its precious inheritances.
