The Caribbean is a stunning, tropical bunch of over seven hundred islands, cays, islets and reefs, and is further broken up into thirty territories. The crystal clear blue water that envelops these islands is full of vibrant and tropical aquatic life forms.

With this tremendous beauty, the Caribbean islands are widely known to attract tourists from across the globe. It is blessed by the alluring powdery white beaches, waterfalls, wildlife and lush green palm trees. Apart from these, this region offers fruity cocktails, delicious local food, nightlife and dazzling music, including the world-renowned reggae.

It is also the home to several famous musicians. Some of these stars were born and raised in different Caribbean regions while others moved to different places across the world but their roots can be traced back to the Caribbean.

An icon of pop culture and Jamaica, Bob Marley is famous for spreading reggae music in the world which met with large-scale mainstream recognition; the reggae genre originated in the Caribbean region itself. 

This ambassador of reggae music was born in Jamaica as Robert Nesta Marley. During his entire lifetime, he gained several recognitions and achieved various accomplishments for his music. 

2) Rihanna

This multi-talented singer, businesswoman, actress and fashion designer was born in St. Michael’s parish, Barbados in 1988. Robyn Rihanna Fenty, universally known as Rihanna is famous worldwide for her voice, style and fashion sense. 

She is an R&B, pop and reggae singer who became famous for her unique, distinct and versatile voice in the early 21st century. This talented singing sensation has a net worth of $1.7 billion, making her the richest female musician in the world. 

3) Sean Paul

Born in Kingston, Jamaica on 9 January 1973, Sean Paul is a widely acclaimed singer, rapper and record producer. He is the most successful Jamaican dancehall artist in the world. As of 2021, his net worth is estimated to be roughly around $25 million. 

Sean Paul was good in both academics and athletics and thus he originally planned to study commerce and pursue a career in hotel management, but thankfully he instead ended up becoming a highly successful musician after associating with his manager and producer Jeremy Harding.

4) Nicki Minaj

Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty professionally known as Nicki Minaj was born in St. James, Trinidad and Tobago. She is well known for her colourful wigs and costumes, and chart-topping songs. Nicki Minaj is another Caribbean success story. 

While she is particularly known as a singer and songwriter, she has also tried her hand in acting, as well as in judging the American Idol and has an estimated net worth of $80 million.

5) Camilla Cabello

This young Cuban-American singer, songwriter and actress was born in Havana, Cuba in 1997. She started her career with a girl band named Fifth Harmony in 2012 and eventually solo debuted in 2017. 

Camilla is a pop, Latin and R&B performer and she became popular with the song Havana ft. Young thug which got more than 1 billion views on YouTube. She has also won four American Music Awards for her solo performance. At present, she has a net worth of $14 million.
