One of the most awaited festivals of the year, Diwali is finally here.

One of the most awaited festivals of the year, Diwali is finally here. As the auspicious day has approached, we have finished decorating our house office spaces and preparing for house parties and get-togethers. As every Indian festival goes, food is the center of attraction of Diwali as well. But if you are concerned about consuming too many sweets this festive, we have an apt solution for you. 

Here are a bunch of sugar-free mithai’s that you can easily make at home to up the festive quotient in your diet plans. 

1. Khaas Malpoi

When you can go for a dessert with a little twist that would give your taste buds a ride, you might think of ditching the traditional sweets for the day. A fusion dish comprising stuffed pancakes with carrot halwa,malpoi is often an excellent festive treat full of the goodness of carrot, nuts, and rabdi. Made with the classic Gajar ka halwa and wrapped in thin sheets like pancakes, the Khaas Malpoi is the perfect dessert to amaze guests this Diwali. 

2. Faldhari Badam Barfi

Another sweet that you can enjoy fully without being conscious about your health is the Faldhari Badam Barfi. If you wish your barfi nutty and crunchy, this is the one you should definitely go for. It is made with Mawa and stuffed with the goodness of nuts like walnuts, figs, and almonds. Cook mawa and nuts and mix all ingredients together, plate, and cut before serving. Sprinkle some nutmeg powder for a hint of aroma in the end and it is ready to be served.

3. Badam Laddoo

Another nutty dish to serve to your guest this festive season is Badam Laddoo. It is a timeless Indian dessert recipe made with powdered almonds, jaggery, and dry coconut. Badam Laddoo is an ideal sweet which can be made easily in a few minutes and can be served as a dessert for lunch and dinner. These laddoos are so flavourful that their after-taste will linger in your mouth for a very long time. 

4. Fig Mousse

Fig is a delicious winter fruit that is full of flavors. A lot of people munch on it in their everyday diet because of its numerous health benefits. A not-so-traditional twist is making a rich creamy and velvet out of our favorite fruit. Fig mousse is just the dessert you need this festive season to create a medley between your love for traditional sweets and unique flavors.

5. Phirni

The rich and decadent Phirni has been a part of festive celebrations since time immemorial. Loaded with a milky and creamy texture, this signature dessert can be prepared with no sugar as well.
